Boone County Behavioral Health Task Force

MEET THE TEAM - WE'RE HERE TO HELP!

Community Outreach Advocacy and Recovery

Purpose

The Community Outreach, Advocacy, and Recovery (COAR) Program supports the development of comprehensive, locally driven responses to substance use, mental health, and domestic violence. We work to expand access to recovery support services to all community members.

We support first responders by following up on behavioral health related calls for service in Boone County.

Services

  • Identify and connect individuals and their families to recovery support services
  • Provide transportation to treatment services
  • Conduct home visits and follow up after behavioral health related calls for service through the police and sheriff’s department
  • Implement behavioral health treatment, assessments, and planning within the Boone County Jail
  • Provide follow up post-incarceration for Boone County community members
